Serie ‘Baldur’s Gate’ HBO în dezvoltare de la co-creatorul ‘The Last of Us’ Craig Mazin

HBO dezvoltă o adaptare TV a seriei de jocuri video de rol fantastice “Baldur’s Gate” de la Hasbro. Potrivit variety.com, Craig Mazin, co-creatorul și showrunner-ul seriei de succes HBO “The Last of Us”, va fi showrunner și producător executiv al noului proiect.

Mazin este cunoscut și pentru seria limitată HBO din 2019, “Chernobyl”. Acesta va colabora cu Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor și Gabriel Marano, șeful de televiziune de la Hasbro Entertainment, care de asemenea sunt producători executivi ai proiectului.

Partea din franciza “Dungeons & Dragons”, primul joc “Baldur’s Gate” a fost lansat în 1998. Cel mai recent, “Baldur’s Gate 3” a debutat în 2023, având un succes critic și comercial semnificativ, devenind primul titlu care a câștigat toate cele cinci mari premii de joc al anului și depășind 15 milioane de jucători.

“După ce am investit aproape 1000 de ore în lumea incredibilă a 'Baldur’s Gate 3', este un vis devenit realitate să pot continua povestea creată de Larian și Wizards of The Coast”, a declarat Mazin într-o declarație. “Sunt un fan devotat al 'D&D' și al modului strălucit în care Swen Vincke și echipa sa talentată au adaptat-o. Nu pot aștepta să ajut la aducerea la viață a 'Baldur’s Gate' și a tuturor personajelor sale incredibile cu respect și dragoste, și sunt profund recunoscător lui Gabe Marano și echipei sale de la Hasbro pentru că mi-au încredințat această proprietate extrem de importantă.”
