Nick Cannon și-a exprimat opiniile politice într-un episod recent al emisiunii sale web „Big Drive” (prin intermediul TMZ), în care a numit Partidul Democrat „partidul KKK”. Potrivit variety.com, Cannon a discutat aceste subiecte alături de modelul Amber Rose.

După ce Amber Rose a afirmat că democrații „nu le pasă de oamenii de culoare și că republicanii o fac”, Cannon a răspuns: „Sunt de acord cu tine 100%. Oamenii nu știu că democrații sunt partidul KKK. Oamenii nu știu că republicanii sunt partidul care a eliberat sclavii. Adică, tu și cu mine avem unele puncte de vedere conservatoare. Ești doar puțin mai vocală decât mine.”
