See more of our coverage in your search results. Add Page Six on Google Jennie Garth is “sad” that Tori Spelling has exited their joint “Beverly Hills, 90210” rewatch podcast after nearly six years. The actress kicked off Friday’s episode of the “9021OMG” podcast, which was released early, by addressing “some housekeeping things.” “I’m sad that she’s not finishing this out with us. We started this together and I’m sad about that, if I’m honest, which I always am,” Garth explained to listeners — before clarifying she was “really happy for … to choose herself.” Producer Amy Sugarman, who joined Garth for the episode, noted that “as everyone knows, Tori has not been here for a bit … for many reasons.” She continued, “About two weeks ago, she made the decision, which I’m sure was a very tough decision for her, but she let us know about two weeks ago that she had decided she wasn’t going to continue with the podcast. “This was 100 percent her decision,” Sugarman added. “And look, two things can be true: we can be really bummed and disappointed that she’s not going to do Seasons 9 and 10 with us, with you, while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited for her about the things she’s working on and does want to do.” Addressing fans’ questions about Spelling’s whereabouts on the podcast, Suagrman added that they “had all decided together that today was the day were going to tell everybody.” Garth, 54, jumped in to beg audiences to stick around, promising to deliver special guests for recapping Seasons 9 and 10 of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” Spelling broke the news to her fans in a recent Instagram Live, Entertainment Weekly revealed Thursday, announcing her choice to step away from the podcast. The 53-year-old reportedly told her and Garth’s former co-star Brian Austin Green during the Live that she wanted to pursue other projects. Spelling and Garth played Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor, respectively, in the show, which ran from 1990 to 2000. The two reprised their roles in the 2019 revival, “BH90210,” and kicked off their rewatch podcast in November 2020. Speaking to People about the project in October 2020, Spelling said, “We’ve been friends for 30 years. We’ve gone through decades of change as women, we’re moms now and it’s really the one relationship that has stayed all this time! “Fans always say to us, ‘We can’t believe you’re actually best friends.’ We wanted to do a girlfriends podcast and then blended it with ‘90210’ to do it for the fans.
